The Portland Trail Blazers have signed free-agent Festus Ezeli to a two-year deal worth $15.2 million. There will also be a team option on the second year of the contract.
Ezeli’s rights had been renounced earlier this week by the Golden State Warriors to make room for the Kevin Durant signing, thus making him an unrestricted free-agent.
The center averaged 7.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks with the Dubs last season. He also picked up a ring as a member of their 2014/15 title winning team.
“Festus is an outstanding addition to the Trail Blazer organization on and off the court,” Blazers president of basketball operations Neil Olshey stated. “He will make an immediate impact and be a valuable addition to our culture.”
