Aaron Brooks agrees one-year deal with Indiana Pacers worth $2.5 million

The point guard will ply his trade in ‘The Hoosier State’.

Aaron Brooks will sign with the Indiana Pacers for $2.5 million for one year.

The point guard played a back-up role in Chicago to Derrick Rose in the past two seasons. Due to Rose’s consistent injuries, Brooks managed to play more games than anticipated.

Last season, Brooks averaged 7.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 16.1 minutes for the Chicago Bulls.

He is expected to assume back-up point guard duties behind Jeff Teague who was recently acquired from the Atlanta Hawks via a trade.
