Just over four weeks ago, the 2018 FIFA World Cup got underway when hosts Russia ruthlessly dispatched Saudi Arabia in Moscow. 

With 63 matches played, we arrive at the showpiece event.

The French have been steady, yet not thoroughly convincing on their journey to the final. Labouring through the group stage, Didier Deschamps' side appear to have been playing 'tournament football', peaking just at the right time.

For Croatia, this is unchartered territory. The small Balkan nation has never reached the final hurdle at a World Cup, their previous best showing coming in 1998 where they reached the semi-finals.
