Fantasy Premier League: Top 5 new English signings

There's been a lot of summer dealings in this transfer window, so we take a look at the best options for your FPL side.

With the Premier League and Fantasy Premier League season starting tomorrow night following a mental summer transfer window (would you rather 1x Neymar, 3x Alvaro Morata or 200x Glenn Whelan?), we take a look at the best bits of transfer business for your FPL team.

  1. 1 Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City, FWD, 7.0m)

Kelechi Iheanacho has so much potential it's almost scary. In the past two seasons he has scored 12 goals in the equivalent minutes of 14.5 matches!

Bear in mind as well, a lot of those minutes came from late substitutions and he barely started any games last season. If he's given the opportunity he could be a star.

  2. 2 Kyle Walker (Man City, DEF, 6.5m)

Kyle Walker’s transfer fee comes with a lot of expectation, but the English right back has more than enough quality to live up to it.

He should flourish under Pep Guardiola's brand of football, which should allow him more time on the ball and even further licence to bomb forward.

  3. 3 Romelu Lukaku (Man United, FWD, 11.5m)

The big Belgian is now one of the most expensive players in the world. It's hardly surprising considering the quality he has shown at Everton in the past couple of years.

At Manchester United he will be the focal point of their attack and with Juan Mata, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan teeing him up there will be plenty more chances for him to tuck away!

  4. 4 Jordan Pickford (Everton, GK, 5.0m)

The young Englishman had an amazing season for Sunderland and fully deserved his big move to Everton.

Under the careful guidance of Ronald Koeman he should grow into a world-class player and bring in plenty of FPL points from saves and clean sheets.

  5. 5 Jay Rodriguez (West Brom, FWD, 6.0m)

I really hope Jay Rodriguez can rediscover the form that earned him his first England call up.

During that season he was unstoppable and rightly seen as a future star.

His playing style will have to change under Tony Pulis, but he is definitely good enough to shine for West Brom.

I'm football mad and I have been bitten by the FPL bug and can't get enough of it! I've finished inside the top 40k twice and managed to finish in the top 20k in 2014/15. I'm also a fan of draft FPL leagues, I've played in Togga leagues for 4 years and I'm looking forward to the new FPL draft leagues!

I'm a West Ham fan (obvious glutton for punishment) and so excited by the prospect of the new season with our summer signings!
