FIFA Ultimate Team: Team of the Week 8 (TOTW) Lineup

EA Sports release the latest installment of the FIFA Ultimate Team: Team of the Week, and RealSport takes you through the current squad.

It was an electric weekend’s action in Europe, with Chelsea thumping Everton 5-0, Liverpool netting six against Watford and Borussia Dortmund claiming a 5-2 win over Hamburg. The star performers have been rewarded in FIFA Ultimate Team’s Team of the Week. The following players have received an in form stats boost this week, and can be found in packs until Wednesday 16th November at 5:45 GMT.

Starting XI

As you would expect, Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga stats all feature this week, with other key performances from around the globe being recognised.

Tim Howard – OVR 84

Former Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard was barely tested in Colarado Rapids’ MLS play-off against LA Galaxy, but his two penalty shootout saves earn him a spot in the Team of the Week. His usual overall rating of 81 increases by three, and the American can be yours on Ultimate Team for 11,000 coins on PlayStation 4 and 14,500 coins on Xbox One.

Kevin Vogt – OVR 81

Hoffenheim earned a point at the Allianz Arena away to Bayern Munich with many thanks to centre back Kevin Vogt. The German started the move which put the visitors ahead with a brilliant pass slicing through the Bayern Midfield, allowing Ddiem Amiri to cross to Kerem Demirbay. His rating improves from 76, and you shoud expect to find him on the transfer market for 15,500 coins on PS4 and 17,000 on XB1.

Lisandro Lopez – OVR 82

Centre back Lisandro Lopez came off the bench to score a stoppage time equaliser in Benfica’s O Clasico against Porto, to keep their five-point lead at the top of the league. The Argentine’s rating increased by three for the week, and will cost 12,750 coins on XB1 and 11,750 on PS4.

George Friend – OVR 74

Maarten de Roon may have grabbed Middlesbrough’s injury time equaliser against Manchester City, but it was George Friend’s fizzed cross that supplied it. The English left back has seen his usual 73 rating improve by one, taking him to the highest silver card rating possible. This means he has an incredibly high price, coming in at 35,250 on PS4 and anywhere between 45,000 and 73,500 on XB1.

Mohamed Salah – OVR 86

There has never been questioning in Mohamed Salah’s finishing ever since he was at Basel, and he showed his goal-scoring prowess once again with a hat-trick for Roma in the 3-0 win over Bologna. It is Salah’s second TOTW appearance of the season, and his third rare card after featuring in the Halloween ‘Scream Team’. This means the right midfielder improves by five overall points, and the Egyptian will cross around 160,000 coins on either console.

Salomon Kalou – OVR 84

Another former Chelsea player now in the form of Hertha Berlin attacking midfielder Salomon Kalou. The Ivorian also hit a hat trick this past weekend, in the 3-0 win over the ten men of Borussia Monchengladbach. The 31-year-old has seen his usual left midfield card, switched to attacking midfield and improve by three, with his in form version costing 28,500 coins on PS4 and 26,750 on XB1.

Gareth Bale – OVR 91

We can assure you that this won’t be Gareth Bale’s last appearance in the Team of the Week this season, and he is rewarded this week for his two goals in the space of seven minutes in Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Leganes. The right winger’s rating improves by just one, which still takes the Welshman’s price a whopping 1.5 million coins on either console.

Miralem Pjanic – OVR 86

Interested to know how Miralem Pjanic is getting on at Juventus? Well judging by his free-kick winner against Chievo, things can’t be going much better for the Bosnian. This is the central midfielder’s second rare card in FIFA 17 Ultimate Team, after featuring in the ‘Ones to Watch’ category. He will cost 152,000 coins on PS4 and 140,000 on XB1.

Ryad Boudebouz – OVR 82

Next up in this very attacking line up is Montpellier attacking midfielder Ryad Boudebouz. The Algerian netted twice in the 3-1 victory over Marseiller, steering them four points clear of the relegation zone. This is Boudebouz’s second rare card of the season as he also featured in the ‘Scream Team’ side, but this week he improves his 79 usual rating by three overall points. For that he will cost 17,000 coins on PS4 and 15,750 on XB1.

Roberto Firmino – OVR 84

Surprisingly, this is Roberto Firmino’s first TOTW appearance of the season, and he makes the starting 11 after scoring one and setting up two goals in Liverpool’s 6-1 win over Watford. His usual centre forward 82 card changes to an 84 striker, meaning the Brazlilian will cost 179,000 coins on XB1 and 148,000 on PS4 this week.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – OVR 87

Borussia Dortmund suspended striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after taking a unsanctioned trip to Italy last week, but he returned to action at the weekend, scoring four in the 5-2 win over Hamburg. The Gabonese international improves from his usual 86 rating, and the striker will cost 839,000 coins on PS4, and almost 1 million coins on XB1.

The TOTW respects lower rated players who performed above themselves this week, with players from Russia, Denmark, Sweden and Poland.

Alberto Cifuentes – OVR 72

Cadiz goalkeeper Alberto Cifuentes kept a cleans sheet in the 1-0 win over Huesca in the Spanish second division. The Spaniard improves by four rating points, and will cost 12,750 coins on PS4 and 14,500 on XB1.

Vladimir Poluyakhtov – OVR 71

Vladimir Poluyakhtov scored two goals from left back in Orenburg’s topsy-turvy drama filled 3-3 draw with Krasnodar. The Russian improves from a usual 65 rating, and will cost 28,250 coins on XB1 and 14,750 on PS4.

Ludwig Augustinsson – OVR 74

Copenhagen left back Ludwig Augustinsson almost oved to West Ham United in the summer, and his two assists against Sonderjyske showed his credentials. His side ended up 4-0 victors, improving his rating this week by two. The Swede will cost 35,000 coins on XB1 and 23,750 on PS4.

Facundo Roncaglia – OVR 81

Celta Vigo right back Facundo Ronacaglia scored en route to their 2-1 win over struggling Valencia. He improves by four to take his price to 13,000 on XB1 and 11,250 on PS4.

Rafal Boguski – OVR 71

Right midfielder Rafal Boguski bagged a hat-trick for Wisla Krakow in the 3-2 over Gornik Leczna. He improves by six and will cost around 13,500 coins on either console.

John Owoeri – OVR 71

Nigerian striker claimed four goals in Hacken’s 7-0 thumping of Falkenburg in the final round of matches in the Swedish Allsvenskan. He improves from 66, and will cost 11,500 coins on PS4 and 17,750 on XB1.

Bekim Balaj – OVR 73

Bekim Balaj scored twice as Terek Grozny defeated Zenit St. Petersburg 2-1 in the Russian Premier League. He improves by four to see his price rise to 12,500 coins on PS4 and 14,500 on XB1.

There is some real quality not even on the bench for the Team of the Week, with no player rated lower than 81.

Pedro – OVR 85

Pedro scored and grabbed an assist in Chelsea’s 5-0 rout over Everton, taking his rating up by two and change from a left midfielder to a right winger. The Spaniard will cost 42,000 on PS4 and 47,000 on XB1.

Emil Forsberg – OVR 84

Attacking midfielder Emil Forsberg scored and grabbed an assist in RB Leipzig’s 3-1 win over Mainz, taking them level on points with Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga table. He makes his second TOTW appearance, improving by eight, and will cost 30,000 coins on PS4 and 33,750 on XB1.
