FIFA 18 Team of the Week 6 (TOTW) Predictions

The fixtures just keep coming in October, and after a scintillating round of European football during the week, domestic action took centre stage at the weekend. In the Premier League it was a shame for Merseyside against North London, with Arsenal and Tottenham netting nine goals between them in big wins over Everton and Liverpool respectively. Over in France, Paris Saint-Germain left it late to keep their unbeaten record intact in Marseille, whilst Juventus smashed in six against Udinese in Serie A.

With all that action and more, there were plenty of star performer who may have done enough to secure a place on the FIFA 18 Team of the Week. The squad will be released at 6pm (BST) on Wednesday 25th October, so be ready to open gold packs as soon as the clock strikes six. We predict who will be in this week's FUT TOTW starting line-up.

Jiri Pavlenka (OVR 74 – 74)

We start in the Bundesliga, where Werder Bremen picked up a vital point against fellow relegation battlers Cologne. Bremen ‘keeper Jiri Pavlenka made eight saves to keep a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw, when a loss would have sent them bottom of the table. Czech goalkeeper Pavlenka won’t see his overall increase this week due to his maxed-out silver 74 rating, but his stats would still get a boost. The 25-year-old currently costs 550 coins on PS4 and 1,000 on Xbox One.

Mario Gaspar (OVR 81 – 83)

Villarreal right back Mario Gaspar got on the scoresheet as his side swept aside Las Palmas 4-0 in La Liga. It’s now five games unbeaten for The Yellow Submarine, which has taken them to sixth place in the league. Spain international Gaspar’s goal and a clean sheet should see his overall increase by two to 83 this week, and he will currently cost you 750 coins on both consoles.

Felix Uduokhai (OVR 67 – 74)

Centre back Felix Uduokhai popped up in injury time to grab a crucial goal as Wolfsburg drew with Hoffenheim 1-1 in the Bundesliga. The 20-year-old headed in Daniel Didavi’s corner to claim the point for his side, who are looking shaky with nine points from as many fixtures so far this season. The German’s efforts should see his 67 rating catapulted to a maximum silver 74 this week, and he currently only costs 600 coins on PS4 and as much as 1,000 on Xbox One.

Aleksandar Kolarov (OVR 79 – 83)

Roma left back Aleksandar Kolarov followed up his midweek goal with another at the weekend. The Serbian bagged a super individual effort against Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday, and then got the all-important goal against Torino in Serie A. Kolarov’s performances could see him make a great increase from 79 to 83 this week, with the 31-year-old costing 700 coins on both consoles.

Marcelo (OVR 87 – 88)

With Cristiano Ronaldo not quite hitting his stride this season, the rest of the side have needed to step up. Marcelo is now a very experienced cookie and the left back finished a fantastic move to seal a 3-0 win over Eibar. Los Blancos still have their work cut out if they are to chase down leaders Barcelona, who are already five points clear at the top of the table. Marcelo’s sweet strike should see him hop up one overall point to 88 this week, and he's currently a very expensive man to get hold of, costing 65,000 coins on PS4 and 57,000 on Xbox One.

Pedro (OVR 84 – 86)

Michy Batshuayi may have grabbed the headlines for Chelsea with his brace from the bench, but right winger Pedro was the star man in the 4-2 victory over Watford. The Spaniard opened the scoring with an absolute beauty before crossing in for Batshuayi to head home. It was a much-needed win for The Blues, who were winless in three. Pedro’s performance should earn him an increase to at least 86 this week, which will certainly be much more expensive than his current price of just 3,000 coins on both consoles.

Sami Khedira (OVR 84 – 88)

Sami Khedira, scoring a hat-trick? It sounds ridiculous but the German central midfielder did exactly that in the 6-2 thriller against Udinese. Juve have closed the gap on Napoli to three points, but with Inter Milan also in front of them, this could be their toughest title defence this decade. The 30-year-old Khedira is deserving of at least an 88 rating on Wednesday, and his current price is 13,000 coins on PS4 and 10,250 on Xbox One.

Corentin Tolisso (OVR 82 – 84)

With 12 appearances already this season, new signing Corentin Tolisso is emerging as a very important player at Bayern Munich. The 23-year-old got the only goal in a 1-0 win over Hamburg at the weekend, meaning the clubs has three wins from three after the return of manager Jupp Heynckes. Central midfielder Tolisso should see an increase from 82 to 84 this week, which should alert anyone with his Ones to Watch card. The former Lyon man will set you back 12,000 coins on PS4 and 9,800 on Xbox One.

Memphis Depay (OVR 80 – 84)

With Memphis Depay featuring in the Ultimate Scream Team for Halloween, the Dutchman celebrated in style with a hat-trick. The left winger’s treble helped Lyon to a 5-0 demolition of Troyes, and it should give them the confidence to close the gap on Ligue 1 leaders PSG. After three goals, Depay’s 80 overall should hit 84 this week, which will certainly elevate his price from 3,000 coins on PS4 and 2,600 on Xbox One.

Harry Kane (OVR 86 – 88)

With a TOTW appearance backed up by a PL Player of the Month card, Harry Kane is in hot pursuit of trying to accumulate the rarest cards on FIFA 18 Ultimate Team. With two goals and an assist for Tottenham over Liverpool he could appear in the Team of the Week again. This time his overall would increase to 88, and his current cost is 60,000 coins on PS4 and 65,000 on Xbox One.

Roberto Inglese (OVR 75 – 79)

The Verona Derby took place at the weekend with Chievo claiming a 3-2 victory over rivals Hellas Verona. After going 1-0 down, a brace from striker Roberto Inglese put Chievo 2-1 up, with the result propelling his side towards a place in Europe. The striker’s 75 rating looks likely to hit around 79 this week, with his current price just 500 coins on both consoles.
