FIFA 17: Team of the Week 25 (TOTW) Predictions – Magical Messi

Check out our predictions for the FIFA Ultimate Team TOTW 25!

There were goals aplenty this weekend across Europe with the usual suspects providing them: Barcelona beat Celta by a 5-0 scoreline, while Real Madrid put four past Eibar. In the Premier League, Swansea put three past Burnley, Fernando Llorente with a brace, while Southampton put four past Watford, Nathan Redmond with the brace this time. Inter beat Cagliari by a 5-1 scoreline in Serie A too. Here are our predictions for the FIFA Ultimate Team: Team of the Week.

Artur Boruc (OVR 76 > 81)

The pressure was on Bournemouth to stop the rot this weekend, and they managed to claim an unlikely point from Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, taking them away from relegation danger. The stopper made six saves and even kept out a last-minute penalty from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to preserve the Cherries’ point in their 1-1 draw. Boruc’s rating will rise to 81, and the ‘keeper will cost you 400 coins on Xbox One and 450 coins on PS4.

Samuel Umtiti (OVR 82 > 84)

Barcelona were rampant, once again, on the weekend with a 5-0 demolition of Celta and whilst Lionel Messi was the Man of the Match, centre-back Samuel Umtiti staked a claim for a regular spot with a superb performance. He was defensively solid, keeping a clean sheet, and even got on the scoresheet. His rating will rise to 84, and he’ll cost 2,000 coins on Xbox One and 2,400 coins on PS4.

Hector Moreno (OVR 80 > 83)

Whilst their hopes of winning the Eredivisie are over, PSV are still hoping to catch Ajax for a Champions League qualification spot with a 4-0 win over Roda JC this weekend. Centre-back Hector Moreno was able to score two goals and keep a clean sheet at the back too. He rose well to head in a corner in the first half and was in the air again to triple the lead in the second half. Moreno’s rating should increase to 83, and he’ll cost 1,600 coins on Xbox One and 1,800 coins on PS4.

Bernat (OVR 79 > 82)

Bayern Munich moved seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with a 3-0 win over Koln and left-back Bernat was crucial to the victory. The defender scored one goal, lashing home a first-half goal to double Bayern’s lead and made numerous tackles to protect their clean sheet. Bernat’s rating will rise to 82, and he’ll cost 900 coins on Xbox One and 1,100 coins on PS4.

Lionel Messi (OVR 93 > 94)

Despite the news of Luis Enrique stepping down at the end of the season, Barcelona stayed focussed on the task at hand and kept up the pressure on Real Madrid with a 5-0 win over Celta, therefore retaining their spot at the top of La Liga. Lionel Messi again was at the centre of attention with two superb individual goals. He made it 1-0 when he ran 45 yards and slotted in and his through pass set up Neymar’s second. Messi then assisted Samuel Umtiti for the fourth, whilst the Argentine made it five, beating a defender with a dummy to fire through the ‘keeper’s legs. Messi will rise to 94, but he’ll be expensive, costing 675,000 coins on Xbox One and 849,000 coins on PS4.

Ivan Perisic (OVR 83 > 87)

Inter continued their Serie A resurgence with a 5-1 away win over Cagliari moving up to sixth in the table, two points behind fourth-placed Lazio. Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic was the focal point of the result, with a brace of goals either side of half-time. Perisic’s rating will rise to 87 and he’ll cost 3,000 coins on PS4 and 3,700 coins on Xbox One.

Fabian Johnson (OVR 79 > 82)

Borussia Monchengladbach rose to ninth in the Bundesliga with an impressive 4-2 victory over struggling Schalke, and American midfielder Fabian Johnson was key to the success with two goals. Johnson opened the scoring with a left-footed shot in the first half and added a second in the second half. Johnson’s rating will rise to 82, and he’ll cost 850 coins on Xbox One and 700 coins on PS4.

Nathan Redmond (OVR 75 > 79)

The young Englishman was superb in Southampton’s 4-3 win over Watford, just edging the equally excellent Dusan Tadic for the Man of the Match award. Redmond scored two goals, one on the stroke of half-time and then again as the game neared its end, but offered so much more on the flanks and caused problems for the Hornets all game. Redmond also made five key passes and started and ended the move that led to his first goal. His rating could rise to 79, and he’ll only cost 550 coins on Xbox One and 500 coins on PS4.

Andrea Belotti (OVR 80 > 85)

Much has been made of Andrea Belotti this season and for good reason as the Arsenal transfer target scored a sensational eight-minute hat-trick to fire Torino to a 3-1 win over Palermo. Torino had been behind and looked set to drop points until the 23-year-old turned the game on its head in the 73rd, 76th and 81st minutes to take his side ninth in Serie A. Belotti’s rating could rise as high as 85, and he’ll cost 850 coins on Xbox One and 1,000 coins on PS4.

Fernando Llorente (OVR 79 > 85)

For all the talk of Gylfi Sigurdsson’s importance to Swansea’s survival campaign, perhaps Fernando Llorente has gone a little under-appreciated. He announced himself on centre-stage on the weekend, however, with his fourth brace of the season in the Swans’ 3-2 win over Burnley. Llorente put Swansea ahead, but with the game poised at 2-2, Llorente again rose high and headed Swansea in front in the 92nd minute. Llorente’s rating is set to increase to 85, and he’ll cost 750 coins on PS4 and 900 coins on Xbox One.

Karim Benzema (OVR 87 > 88)

Real Madrid’s French striker Karim Benzema overcame his criticism with two goals this weekend to help Los Blancos maintain pressure on new La Liga leaders Barcelona. The onus was on Benzema to fire Madrid to victory to overcome the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, and he obliged with a brace against Eibar. Madrid went on to game 4-1. Benzema’s rating should rise to 88, and he’ll cost 36,000 on Xbox One and 48,000 coins on PS4.
