The International is one of the biggest esport tournaments around, boasting one of (if not the) highest prize pools in gaming. This year is no different.
And while enjoying the competition and following the games is every fans priority, there’s another race that also matters during this competition.
The Arcana Vote
The Arcana Vote let’s battle pass owners for Dota 2 voice their opinions in a series of votes eliminating heroes. The last hero left standing gets a new arcana item.
If various bits of information from across the web colliding together to form consensus can be trusted: The Arcana Vote of 2017’s International has come to a close after being air tight. The two battling it out being fan favorites Pudge and Rubick.
As of July 30th, the competition was pretty damn close.

And since, if DOTA 2 is to be trusted, things haven’t changed a bit.

Now, with the vote closing as of August 3rd, we should soon find out who the battle tagged populace of the Dota 2 community feel should be given the Arcana glory next. It’s a steep competition that has seen plenty of the game’s heroes fall to the wayside, many at the hands of these two final heroes.
Whether your own favorite character got eliminated or not, the excitement for new content is building, and will be announced in the main stage of the tournament. Although I feel sorry for anyone that has to tell one of these two characters they’ve lost. Especially when one’s lore states – “In the Fields of Endless Carnage, far to the south of Quoidge, a corpulent figure works tirelessly through the night-dismembering, disembowelling, piling up the limbs and viscera of the fallen that the battlefield might be clear by dawn.”
We’ll see who comes out ahead, and what unlucky Dota 2 intern loses their own.
Stay tuned for more.
In the meantime, leave us YOUR thoughts on who you think should’ve won the vote this year in the comments below.
