Germany’s premiere football division, the Bundesliga, is one of the country’s oldest, and dates all the way back to 1963. The division hosts big name brands like Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich among others. Bundesliga is also known for its record attendance numbers of 45,000 every week, the biggest of any sporting league in the world.
Now it seems they’re taking the clue of Germany’s other football clubs, like FC Schalke and VfL Wolfsburg, and becoming heavily involved in eSports. They have trademarked several words pertaining to Bundesliga and eSports, including eBundesliga, iBundesliga and DFL eSports Bundesliga. All of this points towards their involvement in eSports, most likely FIFA.
