The world of eSports has been one of the fastest growing community events in the gaming industry, offering cash prizes in tournaments ranging between $250,000 and $24 million, but also comes with a lot of confusion and vague abbreviations. Watching an eSports match may be thrilling or confuse the hell out of a lot of people, and the aim of these articles is to introduce people who have wanted to understand the game but don’t want to spend the hundreds/thousands of hours that players are notoriously known for reaching before you have a decent level of understanding for the game.


What is a MOBA?

MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) is the term used for the genre of games such as League of Legends and Dota2 where a team of five players compete against an opposing team of five players for overall map control.
