There's nothing better than creating a highlight to remember a huge dunk in the NBA Live Series. To help you put some of the biggest names in the game on a poster, we've got a list of the best dunkers in NBA Live 19.
Zach LaVine (OVR 83)
Age: 23
Position: SG
Height: 6'4"
Team: Chicago Bulls
Dunk Rating: 99
The winner of the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 2015 and 2016, it's no surprise to see Zach LaVine top this list. The 23-year-old is extraordinarily athletically gifted, and with an elite vertical and some serious speed he can throw down dunks better than arguably anyone else in the NBA.
Aaron Gordon (OVR 82)
Age: 23
Position: PF
Height: 6'9"
Team: Orlando Magic
Dunk Rating: 99
At the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk contest, it was Gordon who went up against LaVine in the final, and subsequently put on one of the most memorable shows in the events history. Despite putting up multiple perfect scores of 50, Gordon was the eventual runner-up, but on that day he showed the entire basketball world just what he was capable of.
Blake Griffin (OVR 86)
Age: 29
Position: PF
Height: 6'10"
Team: Detroit Pistons
Dunk Rating: 96
There was a time when Griffin would probably have topped this list, but for now he'll have to settle for third. Another previous Slam Dunk contest winner, Griffin has terrorized post defenders for years with his ability to rise up and throw the hammer down with remarkable force. Though he may be past his prime athletically, he is still well and truly deserving of this 96 rating.
Giannis Antetokounmpo (OVR 93)
Age: 23
Position: PF
Height: 6'11"
Team: Milwaukee Bucks
Dunk Rating: 96
What more can be said about the Greek Freak? Almost without doubt the most athletically gifted player in the NBA, and probably one of the most gifted of all time, Giannis can get to the rim almost at will. Once he's there, he makes the most of it, using his incredibly long strides and great leap to rise up over anyone who stands in his way.
LeBron James (OVR 97)
Age: 33
Position: SF
Height: 6'8"
Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Dunk Rating: 96
Every season, LeBron James continues to defy Father Time. Now nearing his mid 30's, he is still the best player in the world, and is still able to dunk on seemingly whoever he likes, whenever he likes. His incredible speed and power allows him to bustle his way to the rack regardless of who is standing in his way, and his ability to finish through the hoards of traffic that inevitably collapse onto him justifies his high dunk rating in NBA Live 19.
Donovan Mitchell (OVR 86)
Age: 22
Position: SG
Height: 6'3"
Team: Utah Jazz
Dunk Rating: 96
Donovan Mitchell came from the clouds in his 2017/18 rookie year to finish second in the Rookie of the Year award, and along the way he made a name for himself as an incredible dunker. After being invited to the Slam Dunk contest at the 2018 All-Star weekend, he managed to take out the event, an extraordinary feat for a man standing at just 6'3" and in his first season in the NBA.
Anthony Davis (OVR 94)
Age: 25
Position: C
Height: 6'10"
Team: New Orleans Pelicans
Dunk Rating: 95
The man perhaps best placed to eventually overtake LeBron James as the world's best basketball player, Davis can do it all at both ends of the floor. A defensive beast, he is also able to do virtually anything he wants on offense, including dunking with some serious authority - and with his long strides and speed, he is able to do so with a lot of regularity.
Russell Westbrook (OVR 93)
Age: 29
Position: PG
Height: 6'3"
Team: Oklahoma City Thunder
Dunk Rating: 95
For all the criticisms he receives for his playing style - many of which are justified, others less so - there is not a single follower of the NBA who could question Westbrook's remarkable athletic talents. As fast as anyone else in the league, and with an unmatched desire to get to the rack, when Westbrook decides he wants to throw down a big dunk, there isn't a lot anybody can do to stop it.
Javale McGee (OVR 78)
Age: 30
Position: C
Height: 7'0"
Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Dunk Rating: 95
There is no doubt McGee is a seriously flawed player, and is certainly a better athlete than he is a basketballer. He has, however, made a name for himself in recent years as a player able to minimize his flaws and maximize his talents, and there is no doubt dunking falls in the latter category. Extremely athletically gifted, McGee lives around the rim on offense, and with the likes of LeBron James, Rajon Rondo and Lonzo Ball running the point for his Lakers in 2018/19, expect to see him get plenty of opportunities to throw it down.
Larry Nance Jr (OVR 79)
Age: 25
Position: PF
Height: 6'8"
Team: Cleveland Cavaliers
Dunk Rating: 93
Larry Nance Jr is still making his way as a player in the NBA, but he has already established himself as one of its best dunkers. Appearing in the 2018 Slam Dunk contest, the 25-year-old showed his talents with a wide variety of different dunks. Arguably though, his dunking style is better suited to in-game situations, where his long reach gives him the ability to finish when few other players could.
