Longtime OpTic Gaming Call of Duty pro Ian “Crimsix” Porter has officially been announced as a brand ambassador for H4X.gg. Being marketed as a “H4XAthelete” this is territory normally reserved for traditional sports brands such as Nike, Under Armour, or Adidas who sign popular footballers, basketball, or baseball players as ambassadors of their brands with customized apparel and kicks.

While this is new territory in esports, Crimsix is not averse to the spotlight as the winningest player in Call of Duty and two time world champion has recently focused on developing his personal brand with his own YouTube video documentary series titled “The Pursuit” with the next episode titled “Overtime” done in partnership with H4X.

For H4X this opens an entirely new market as the Canadian based apparel company has focused on the CS:GO community by appearing at ESL and Dreamhack events, but have not been visible in the MLG dominated Call of Duty scene (outside of compLexity). What the partnership will mean in exact merchandise available for consumers is not public just yet, but according to the press release H4X wants to develop something that is comfortable/empowering to improve reaction times and movement speed.
