When the words Ubisoft and Next-Gen are used together, many gamers may think of the upcoming Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
However, the French gaming developers are also working to bring more of their current-gen games to the PS5 and Xbox Series X, including their medieval fantasy fighter, For Honor.
For Honor Free Next-Gen Upgrade
The good news is that this new For Honor upgrade will be free for anyone who owns the game on current-gen consoles.
You'll simply have to redeem the next-gen edition on your PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.
In addition, you can carry over your progress as your profile, including all purchases and inventory, is automatically shared with your new console.

The bad news, however, is the upgrade won't be available immediately upon release of next-gen consoles.
Next-Gen Upgrade Release Date
Although there is no confirmed release date, Ubisoft has stated that the update will arrive as part of Year 4 Season 4, meaning we can expect it sometime in December 2020.
Of course, this means that if you're getting your next-gen console upon release in November, you'll have to wait a few weeks for the upgraded edition of For Honor.
