With an impressive showing at the World Cup, it's no surprise that Yerry Mina is a hot topic of conversation now Colombia's involvement in the tournament has ended.

Less than 48 hours after their elimination in a penalty shootout with England, the Guardian are reporting that Mina has attracted the attention of Everton.

With Ramiro Funes Mori departing the club over the summer and Ashley Williams' future uncertain under the stewardship of new manager Marco Silva, Mina - who is set to leave Barcelona - is a signing that makes sense.

Mina, 23, has struggled to impose himself at Barcelona since an €11.8 million move and the potential signing of Clement Lenglet will see his stock decline further, whilst the centre back occupies one of only three non-EU spots in the squad.

Here are three reasons why the Toffees should sign Mina.
