On Friday, Chelsea finally said 'Arrivederci!' to Antonio Conte ahead of the imminent appointment of Maurizio Sarri.
It’s been a long-overdue move that many fans expected to materialise as early as the final whistle of Chelsea’s season in May.
It's difficult to say whether the delay was a tactical move from Chelsea, preventing Conte from taking up a job in England or simply a result of long negotiations between the sides.
Either way, should Conte consider a prompt return to coaching, he won't be overlooked. Upon his arrival in England, he stunned other title contenders by reinventing the 3-5-2 formation leading Chelsea to a decisive Premier League win in the 2016/17 campaign.
He’s also inspired the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and even tactically rigid Arsene Wenger to implement the system with three centre-backs in their teams.
