Chelsea: 5 players who must be sold in the summer

What a difference an FA Cup final makes.

Twelve months ago, Antonio Conte was on the verge of a domestic double. The Premier League had been secured at a canter with his Chelsea side dominating their nearest rivals. 

A surprise defeat to Arsenal left a bitter taste but the consensus was firm nevertheless. The Blues were the best in the country, coached by a man that seemed intent on establishing a dynasty.

As Chelsea prepare for this year’s final against Manchester United, however, the elation has dissipated. Conte will depart the club in the Summer, a craven transfer policy helping to undermine a lamentable campaign. In reality, it doesn’t matter if they win the FA Cup.

Whoever replaces the Italian has a number of difficult choices to make with regards to playing staff. The Blues have one of the most bloated squads in the league, not to mention a galaxy of players on loan. 

With that in mind, here are five players who could lead an exodus from the club this summer.
