Rafa Benítez, of course, is an excellent manager who could provide the stability and organisation that the Gunners have so badly lacked.
He might be démodé in comparison to Leonardo Jardim or Paulo Fonseca but the Spaniard has a proven record of success and tactical rigour.
Even Benitez, however, might struggle to eke consistency from this Arsenal squad. Arsene Wenger’s players are lacking the same things they were ten years ago: tactical acumen, resilience, and leaders. Regardless of who the coach is next year, a clear-out is inevitable.
