When will NBA 2K23 be on Game Pass?

NBA 2K23 has been out for over a month, but players still on the fence about this year's game are hoping to see it hit Xbox Game Pass.

Here's everything we know so far about when NBA 2K23 could arrive on Game Pass for subscribers.

When will NBA 2K23 be on Game Pass?

Arriving in mid-September, NBA 2K23 has impressed many with this year's MyNBA Eras upgrading their franchise mode experience.

While many players have been going hard since the game released, some Xbox Game Pass subscribers have understandably chosen to wait and see if they can avoid paying full price for the title.

The good news is that it's very likely NBA 2K23 will eventually be available on Game Pass, but players hoping to get it with their subscription still have plenty of time to wait.

Earlier this year, NBA 2K22 landed on Xbox Game Pass as of April 28, 2022, just a few short weeks after the NBA Playoffs had begun.

While nothing is confirmed, we expect a similar window to be used this year, as 2K saw an opportunity to capitalize by bringing in new players at the height of the NBA season.

As of now, we predict that NBA 2K23 will be on Xbox Game Pass as of Thursday, April 27, 2023, which would be the same timing used for the previous installment.

Does Xbox Game Pass have any basketball games?

If you just can't wait but want a basketball fix, there is one option currently available on Xbox Game Pass.

Players looking for something to play can currently download NBA Live 19 from EA Sports, but only if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which includes EA Play.

While not the best basketball game in recent years, it can still provide a fun experience while players wait for the arrival of NBA 2K23 on Game Pass.

There are plenty of other sports offerings currently on Game Pass including MLB The Show 22, NHL 22, Madden 22, FIFA 22, and more.
