We're likely not far from the reveal of who will be on the NBA 2K23 cover. Because of this, we have an idea of who will be displayed on the front.

We believe that the NBA Finals MVP Steph Curry will be your cover athlete this year. Why? We'll go into more detail on that below.

Steph Curry NBA 2K23 Cover

Out of all the players in the NBA, nobody quite lights up a scoreboard like Steph Curry. Along with that, his leadership skills are paramount.

Curry won the NBA Finals MVP when he led the Warriors to another championship after beating the Celtics in just six games. In our opinion, he should undoubtedly be on the NBA 2K23 cover.

STANDARD EDITION: Could Steph Curry be your NBA 2K23 cover athlete

Curry had plenty of accolades this season that should land him on the cover along with the NBA Finals MVP trophy. In December, Curry landed the record for the most 3-point shots made in the NBA.

Here are a few reasons why we believe Curry is the best choice:

  • Stephen Curry
    • Broke the NBA record for most threes in a year (507)
    • Broke Ray Allen's record for most career threes
    • Became the first player ever with 3,000 three-pointers

He ranked 10th in the NBA in points per game (25.5), shooting 45.9% from the field and 39.7% from the three-point line. In our minds, he's a shoo-in for the NBA 2K23 cover.

Other NBA 2K23 Cover Candidates

Although we feel that Curry is the obvious choice, there are a few players that have added their names to the current odds.

However, does Ja Morant really have a chance at being on the NBA 2K23 cover? This is a possibility, however, we feel it's small in comparison to Curry's odds.
