The arrival of NBA 2K23 Update 1.04 on Current Gen will hopefully bring relief for some major bugs that have plagued players since launch.

NBA 2K23 Update 1.04 Patch Notes hit Current Gen on October 5

As is a challenge ever year, major bugs and glitches have impacted NBA 2K23 players since the title launched last month.

Fortunately, some relief may be arriving for players on current gen platforms like Xbox One and PS4 thanks to NBA 2K23 Update 1.04.

The arrival appears to have deployed just one day after NBA 2K23 Update 1.007 hit next gen platforms Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

There have been varying reports on total download size for NBA 2K23 Update 1.04 being between 35 GB and 37 GB.

QUICK FIXES: Most of the updates have seemed like small hotfixes so far

One player on Reddit posted that their download was a full 71.342 GB, but that could've been due to a System Update error.

Despite the significant size of NBA 2K23 Update 1.04, it's not clear if anything significant was actually changed, as PS4 updates sometimes will appear larger by verifying other game files with an update.

Unfortunately, official details about it are scarce aside from a standard PS4 message saying that "title stability has been improved in addition to a number of general user experience improvements."

2K has yet to release official NBA 2K23 Update 1.04 Patch Notes, nor have they released patch notes for any other update so far this year.

MyCAREER games may have gotten small VC change

Without official NBA 2K23 Update 1.04 Patch Notes it's difficult to know exactly what's been addressed, but players did spot one difference.

In the past, players in MyCAREER would still receive some VC for playing a MyCAREER game if they'd gotten too many technical fouls and been taken out of the game.

Unfortunately, several players are reporting that this is now gone and zero VC is awarded if you're technical fouled out of a game in MyCAREER.

While some expressed frustration that a VC gathering method had been removed, others stressed that it was a strategy they employed to speed up the games and advance the story rather than to actually earn VC.

Other methods in modes like MyNBA Eras to passively grind VC still remain at this point, but changes could arrive in a future update.
