There was plenty of hype about the NBA 2K22 gameplay trailer, as there's been no actual gameplay footage with the title now less than two weeks from the official release date.

However, the wait is over thanks to a leaked version of the NBA 2K22 gameplay trailer that landed via 2KIntel!

We've seen multiple leaks this year come from the 2KIntel account. They've been spot on so far, and this version looked legitimate, but we didn't have to wait long for confirmation.

Just minutes after the leaked version landed, NBA 2K released the official version on YouTube, and you can watch it in HD right now!

We were already expecting a gameplay reveal on August 31, 2021 around 11am ET, but it looks like the leak has forced the hand of 2K Sports.

It's no shock they didn't want the only look at NBA 2K22 anyone had to be of such low video quality, so this is a smart move by the developers to ensure people are seeing the game at its best.

What have we learned about NBA 2K22 gameplay from the trailer?

This was initially a challenge to answer, as the low quality of the leaked version made it nearly impossible to really see what next gen shine was bringing to this year's game.

Now that we've got the official version, things look crisper and cleaner than ever before with a clear upgrade compared to NBA 2K21.

With this being the first installment to get a full development cycle dedicated to next gen, and the first to simultaneously launch on both next and current gen platforms, there was already an expectation that next gen NBA 2K22 would look even cleaner than their PS5 and Xbox Series X|S debut last year.

One of the most intriguing moments saw Carmelo Anthony barrel into a scorekeeping area and onto a table, as shown in the image above, which is a level of detail that we haven't seen before.
