Is the Pink Diamond Ben Simmons card good for NBA 2K22 MyTEAM lineups?

If you've been looking to purchase a few cards from the NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Auctions you've probably noticed the Pink Diamond Ben Simmons card.

This card is catching a lot of attention, but not necessarily for the right reasons. After the Ben Simmons to Brooklyn Nets trade, this card was created.

Let's go over a couple of reasons why this NBA 2K22 card is expensive, whether it's worth it, and other cards to target.

The latest Level Up packs have been introduced to the NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Pack Market. Within the contents of the set is the Pink Diamond Ben Simmons card that can level up to a Galaxy Opal.

When the card first hit the MyTEAM Auctions it sold for over 700K MT, which is quite insane considering the card attributes. We'll cover the attributes and ratings in just a minute.

There are tons of cards in these sets that are great. Before we tell you which ones to target, let's take a look at the PD Ben Simmons card.

PD Ben Simmons card attributes

You'd think with how many players are jumping on this card that it must be pretty great. However, you'd be sorely mistaken in thinking this.

A few reasons why players like this NBA 2K22 card are because Simmons is a tall point guard at 6'11. He's a very physical defender as well, which also helps his case.

Unfortunately, he's not very useful outside of being a good defender and a tall point guard. Here are his NBA 2K22 Pink Diamond card ratings:

We find this card as a whole to be very underwhelming for strong MyTEAM lineups. Being competitive online means being able to shoot and the PD Ben Simmons 62 3PT rating isn't helping that at all.

We'd put the MT towards getting the Galaxy Opal Paul George in NBA 2K22. Or the GO Gilbert Arenas, who's a great defender and even better scorer.
