FanDuel & DraftKings NBA Daily Picks: Fantasy lineup & advice 12/8/17

A handful of fantasy studs will be in action tonight, but who are some under-the-radar options that you should have in your lineup?

PG – Rajon Rondo, New Orleans Pelicans vs Sacramento Kings

Point guard is a bit wide open tonight with no clear chalk pick. However, Rajon Rondo could potentially provide the most bang for your buck. The veteran has been in outstanding form recently, putting up 11.5 points, 9.8 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and even 1.5 3-pointers over his last four contests. Much like his teammate DeMarcus Cousins, Rondo should have a little extra spring in his step in this revenge game against his old team, so he could be set for another highly productive game.

SG – Jonathon Simmons, Orlando Magic vs Denver Nuggets

The Magic are completely decimated on the wings at the moment. First, it was Terrence Ross going down, and now Evan Fournier is set to miss some time with a sprained ankle. That should be great news for Jonathon Simmons, who is averaging 16 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 38 minutes per game over his last four. You’d figure he has to help make up for the 18 points and 14 shot attempts Fournier is averaging from the wing this season against the Nuggets tonight.

Simmons’ Nuggets counterpart Gary Harris will also be an interesting play at shooting guard. Harris has put up at least 38 fantasy points in FanDuel scoring in three of his last four games as the Nuggets have needed other players to step up in the absence of Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic.

SF – Will Barton, Denver Nuggets @ Orlando Magic

Speaking of players stepping up with Millsap and Jokic sidelined, Will Barton has done the same. In his last four games, Barton has been averaging 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.5 3-pointers in 35 minutes for the short-handed Nuggets. As one of the few reliable offensive options on the Nuggets, look for him to take advantage of a decimated Orlando wing rotation which has given up its fair share of big games to opposing perimeter players this season.

PF – Zach Randolph, Sacramento Kings @ New Orleans Pelicans

The Kings’ frontcourt rotation has been cut significantly with the injury to Willie Cauley-Stein and the demotion of Skal Labissiere to the G League. That has meant a much larger role for Zach Randolph, and the veteran has duly responded. Z-Bo has put up 21.7 points, ten rebounds, and 3.7 assists over his last three games. That includes a spectacular 18-point, ten-rebound, six-assist, three-steal effort against the Cleveland Cavaliers last time out. While Randolph’s price shoots up higher with his recent strong performances, he still provides strong value at the power forward position.

C – Nikola Vucevic, Orlando Magic vs Denver Nuggets

Obviously, DeMarcus Cousins is the big-ticket fantasy item tonight. He’s already hit the Kings for a 40-20 game earlier in the season, and he could be set for similar numbers tonight. However, don’t sleep on Nikola Vucevic, who has now delivered nearly eight points per $1,000 in FanDuel in two of his last three games. He had a brilliant performance against the Atlanta Hawks, putting up 22 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and two steals. After seeing Boogie demolish the Nuggets for 40 points and 22 boards, it’s not entirely far-fetched to think Vooch can challenge those numbers, especially with Fournier out and the Magic in need of more offense.
