FanDuel & DraftKings NBA Daily Picks: Fantasy lineup & advice 12/17/17

Bradley Beal has burned the Cavs pretty well over their last few meetings, which makes his a top DFS option on tonight’s limited four-game slate.

PG – Spencer Dinwiddie, Brooklyn Nets vs Indiana Pacers

After a terrific performance against the New York Knicks (26 points, seven rebounds, seven assists), Spencer Dinwiddie fell right back down to earth with just seven points and five assists against the Toronto Raptors. Although, the Raptors have been incredibly stingy to opposing point guards all season, and the Nets were on the second night of a back-to-back.

However, with a day’s rest as well as a much more palatable matchup against the Pacers, Dinwiddie becomes arguably the best point guard option in tonight’s slate due to his price and his potential 40-plus fantasy point upside.

SG – Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Beal is significantly cheaper than Victor Oladipo and DeMar DeRozan, but he possesses just as high of an upside as he takes on a shaky Cavs defense, especially against shooting guards, on the second night of a back-to-back.

Beal has a history of going off for big games against the Cavs. He averaged 34 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and four 3-pointers in two meetings against them last season, and went off for 36 points in their first meeting this year. And while Oladipo and DeRozan could be done by the fourth quarter if they blow out the Nets and the Kings, respectively, Beal figures to be in a competitive game for the full 48 minutes.

SF – Mario Hezonja, Orlando Magic @ Detroit Pistons

Aaron Gordon is once again out for the Orlando Magic tonight due to a calf injury. That’s bad news for the team but great news for Mario Hezonja’s individual fantasy stock. The Croatian had just four points in 21 minutes upon Gordon’s return against the Blazers. However, he did go off for 17 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three blocks against the Clippers when Gordon was out of the lineup.

LeBron James is just about the surest thing when it comes to raw fantasy points production tonight, but Hezonja offers significantly more value if he can come anywhere close to matching his production against the Clips.

PF – Serge Ibaka, Toronto Raptors vs Sacramento Kings

Serge Ibaka continues to put together consistently strong performances this December. The Raptors forward had 18 points and eight rebounds in just 28 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets, and has now reached at least 28 fantasy points in FanDuel for seven games in a row.

Ibaka’s value is no longer quite as high as his price increases and his upside isn’t exactly sky high. But with few dependable power forward options, Ibaka’s high ceiling will still be worth paying for.

C – Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers @ Brooklyn Nets

Myles Turner had another terrific performance against the Detroit Pistons. He recorded 24 points and eight rebounds, the second time he’s had those numbers in his last three games. Turner had an equally productive game in his first meeting against the Nets on opening night, as he put up 21 points, 14 boards, and four blocks.

That’s right in line with Turner’s past performances against the big man-challenged Nets. Turner averaged 16.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks in four meetings against Brooklyn last season, which is why he offers outstanding potential at the center position tonight.
