With Blake Griffin gone, a couple of Clippers guards suddenly look like must-start players for DFS.

PG – Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets vs Chicago Bulls

There’s always a significant risk in picking Jamal Murray, who is one of the streakiest NBA players around. However, the second-year guard is a somewhat safer pick whenever he’s at home. Both of his 30-point games this season have come at the Pepsi Center. His upside will be that much higher tonight as he goes up against a Chicago Bulls team that is still giving up the most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season.

SG – Lou Williams/Austin Rivers, Los Angeles Clippers vs Utah Jazz

With Blake Griffin gone for a couple of months with a knee injury, the Clippers’ backcourt tandem of Lou Williams and Austin Rivers will have even more responsibility in terms of keeping the team’s offense afloat. Williams certainly held up his end of the bargain with 42 points against the Lakers last time out. Rivers was also very solid with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. They will get all the opportunities they need to keep on putting up big numbers tonight against the Jazz, so either should be a solid option to start.

SF – Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers

After a torrid hot streak, Jaylen Brown has fallen back down to earth a bit. He was fairly anonymous in their win against the Orlando Magic and was a non-factor in their losses to the Miami Heat and the Detroit Pistons. However, this might be the perfect opportunity to buy low on him with an advantageous matchup tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers are giving up the second most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards, which is where Brown primarily plays and will be on the second night of a back-to-back.

PF – Derrick Favors, Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Clippers

Derrick Favors’ fabulous run continued as he dropped an impressive line of 24 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks against the Denver Nuggets. The Jazz big man has thrived of late, averaging 19.4 points, 8 boards and 1.8 blocks to hold down the fort in the absence of Rudy Gobert. Favors’ matchup against the Clippers will be that much more favorable without Griffin to worry about, so look for him to feast once again.

C – Al Horford, Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers

Much like the rest of the Celtics team, Al Horford will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing outing in a loss to the Detroit Pistons. Horford was completely owned by Andre Drummond as he finished with a pedestrian line of 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. However, Horford showed in his previous game against the Indiana Pacers that he can do some owning himself. He finished that game with 21-5-6, 3 blocks and 3 3s, a line he could potentially end up with tonight against the Sixers, who will be playing without Joel Embiid, who is being rested.
