MLB The Show 22 once again revitalizes Road to the Show for a new chapter, and this year players once again have several different positions to pick from.

When creating your Ballplayer, you'll initially make a decision about structuring them as a 2-Way Player, Pitcher, or Position Player.

Of those three, Pitcher is least likely to have an opportunity to change position, and you may find yourself nestled into the Closer, Relief, or Starting Pitcher choice you make early.

However, 2-Way Player especially, as well as Position Player, will likely see opportunities to changes things up at a later time.

The catch is that you can't directly trigger the opportunity to change positions, you'll instead have to wait until management approaches to check on how things are going.

If you're frustrated with your current play style and want to jump ahead to that moment, you can try simulating further into the season in hopes that the opportunity arises, but it's not guaranteed.

If you've decided that you need something different in Road to the Show, whether it's as a 2-Way Player or as a position player, the same can be discussed once approached by your manager.

Once you broach the possibility of changing up your balance of duties, you'll get further questions specific to either your pitching duties or field position.
