Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Lineup advice for September 7, 2017

A thin travel schedule sees us with just nine games on the slate, however there is a slew of good pitching options tonight to get in your lineup. So who should you start?

Best DFS MLB Pitchers for September 7, 2017

With two Cy Young candidates and a raft of other strong options taking the mound tonight, who should you put in your lineup?

Corey Kluber @ Chicago White Sox: $13,100 DraftKings, FPPG - 29.4

Kluber is extremely expensive, but he is also extremely good. Since the end of July he has slashed his ERA 34 points, all the way down to an AL-leading 2.54. He’s also managed 10.2 strikeouts per nine innings in that time.

Kluber gets to face a poor White Sox lineup that he has done very well against in the past, and even though you will have to save a little in your lineup, you almost have to have him in your team today.

Lance Lynn @ San Diego Padres: $9,200 DraftKings, FPPG - 16.3

Lynn’s last outing against the Padres was not especially impressive. He pulled in just 8.1 points as he went six innings and gave up four runs while striking out four. Still, Lynn has been strong this season, with a 2.99 ERA and a 1.147 WHIP. While he isn’t striking out hitters as regularly as you’d like, and does walk a few more, he’s controlled lineups well and performed impressively all season.

Sonny Gray @ Baltimore Orioles: $8,900 DraftKings, FPPG - 18.0

The Yankees and Orioles are playing tonight after a rainout yesterday, which means we get to take Sonny Gray if we want to go cheaper in pitching. Gray has been impressive since he donned the pinstripes, in six starts he’s posted a 3.16 ERA, struck out 35 hitters in 37 innings, and generally been an extremely good pitcher for New York.

Gray’s last start was his worst in a Yankees jersey, giving up four runs in a loss to the Red Sox, however it was the first time he’d even given up more than two earned runs, and the Orioles are not going to be stealing his signs either.

Best DFS MLB Hitters for September 7th, 2017

With several big names missing tonight, who should you turn to for points?

Brian Dozier @ Kansas City Royals: $4,700 DraftKings, FPPG - 9.3

Dozier has been on something of a tear recently, picking up three home runs in his last five games, along with six RBI. Now, there is some danger with Dozier because those three homers are the only hits he’s had in that time, but if connects again tonight then he will more than cover his salary cost.

Anthony Rendon vs Philadelphia Phillies: $4,300 DraftKings, FPPG - 8.9

Rendon has very quietly put together a wonderful campaign in 2017. With a .303/.403/.539 slash line and 23 homers he is a potential MVP candidate, and getting that at this price is very, very appealing tonight. Especially against Aaron Nola too.

Nolan Arenado @ Los Angeles Dodgers: $3,900 DraftKings, FPPG - 9.7

If you want to save a bit more salary at the hot corner, you can grab Arenado and his .303/.361/.574 slash line and 30 homers. Of course, the reason he is so cheap today is that the Rockies are facing Clayton Kershaw in LA, and that is not a good matchup whatsoever. However, at that price Arenado is extremely tempting and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he outstrips his price.
