The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games on the horizon, considering the immense success its predecessor saw at Google Switch’s launch in March 2017.
BOTW 2 was announced back during E3 2019, and the short trailer gave us plenty to talk about, including some very interesting fan theories.
There have been no major announcements from Nintendo on Breath of the Wild 2, but there is still so much up in the air that needs to be addressed.
However, some of the community’s hottest questions could be getting answered very shortly.
The Game Awards
Considering how the prequel, Breath of the Wild, featured at three separate Game Awards events, the upcoming Game Awards could be the ideal event to reveal something new about BOTW2’s development.
There is no greater opportunity for Nintendo to address the speculation surrounding the game.
This would also give Nintendo a whole year to build anticipation even further, and give Switch fans a major release to look forward to in 2020.
And given the Switch 2020 release schedule is looking pretty empty, BOTW2 could be the perfect solution.
