Sea of Thieves was released in 2018 and has recently been released on the Xbox Series X/S.
Sea of Thieves has now received the next-gen upgrade, so it's no surprise that an update is pulling into harbor soon.

Sea of Thieves November Update
Gamers who have kept with Sea of Thieves have received plenty of content through 2020. This will continue into 2021, as has been confirmed by the game's executive producer, Joe Neate.
Quality of life is the main focus of the November update, which will allow for future expansions to be integrated into the game more seamlessly.
There are new and continuing events and in-game activities. This includes all of the current weekly challenges and voyagers, which continue until 9th December.

The recent Vault of the Ancients update from September is also having new content added. The Devil’s Roar region is now also a possible Treasure Vault location.
The next Gold & Glory Weekend will take place over Thanksgiving, so players will get double gold and reputation for all treasure handed out during the event.

The Fightin’ Frogs Ship Set will be available for anyone to buy, not just those that have played the new Battletoads game.
Two new unique pets will also be added, The Hunter’s Call Forager Parrot and the Monkey. The Bone Crusher outfits will now also be available for all species, including cats and dogs.

The Festival of Plenty pet outfits and musical instruments also make a return for Thanksgiving.
Finally, there are new emotes on offer, including the Varied Weapon Pose, new Barrels, and the Fightin’ Frogs Flex.
Release Date
The November Sea of Thieves update goes live on 18th November.
