PGA Tour 2K21 Career Mode: Trailer, Players, Courses, Details & more

With the gold tour returning, it's fitting that the news around PGA Tour 2K21 is coming in fast.

Following the confirmation of all 12 golfers on the game, we now have our first look at the game's Career Mode.

We've finally managed to get our first look at Career Mode for PGA Tour 2K21.

Highlighting your character's journey on the PGA tour, we can see "Max" out on his route to the FedEx Cup, where he faces off against cover star Justin Thomas.

The epic levels of character customisation are shown, with play-by-play commentary supplied by duo Luke Elvy and Rich Beem.

Details so far

PGA Tour 2K21 career mode looks set to be a welcome feature of the upcoming title, offering a way for players to really immerse themselves in the title.

The official press release reads:

The PGA TOUR 2K21 Career Mode follows the path of your MyPLAYER – that you create using PGA TOUR 2K21’s deep character and customisation suite – from humble beginnings as you strive to make a name for yourself on the Korn Ferry Tour, all the way to a climactic battle against cover athlete Justin Thomas for FedExCup glory.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy loads of MyPLAYER customisation options, including unique appearances, hairstyles and fashion options for male and female MyPLAYERS, apparel and gear from Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Malbon Golf, Callaway Golf, Bridgestone Golf, TaylorMade Golf and more, as well as some of PGA TOUR 2K21’s more unusual bells and whistles (did somebody say kangaroos?).

FedEx Cup

PGA Tour 2K21 career mode revolves around getting becoming the FedEx Cup Champion.

But the road won't be easy, as there are 12 other PGA Tour pros which will stand in your way!

One such star will be the World number 4 Justin Thomas, who's also the cover star for the game, and looks to provide the fiercest competition in your Career.

In 2K's The Golf Club 2019, as your player progressed through the tournaments, they attracted the attention of sponsors.

It looks as if you will have the choice of a range of brands, which can be unlocked on the way.

Rivalries?

2K's The Golf Club 2019 had a unique feature in career mode.

Once your skills start getting noticed, a rivalry would break out between you and one of the pros on the tour.

Head-to-heads to prove who's the top dog both statistically and on the leaderboard would be the name of the game.

We could see this feature in the PGA Tour 2K21 career mode, if it follows suit!

Courses

We’ve seen some of the courses in both the teaser trailer and full trailer, and they look fantastic.

We even got a glimpse at The Players Championship at Sawgrass, so expect to pay it a visit in the game mode.

REALISM IN FULL SWING: The title boasts some impressively rendered courses

There will be a total of 15 real-life courses in the game, all of which we assume will be playable as you progress through your illustrious golfing career!

Release Date

PGA tour 2K21 is set for release on 21 August 2020. It'll be playable on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC via Steam.
