Outriders is out this week, on April 1, and is shaping up to be the next live-service shooter hit.
However, some players are wondering if it's set to follow in the footsteps of Destiny 2 and be a free to play game.
Well, we've got the answer for you down below.
Is Outriders Free to Play?
In short, no, Outriders isn't a free to play game, but the answer isn't quite a simple as that.
While it's a full priced game, priced at $60 dollars on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, there's one way to get it cheaper.
If you own an Xbox console and are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, you'll be able to play the full Outriders game at no extra cost.

Square Enix's game is part of the service's library, so you can simply download it and play while you're a member of the service.
Also, even if you're not a Game Pass member and would like to play Outriders, you can simply sign up and jump in for a fee that's a fraction of the one that you'd have to pay to buy the full game.
While Outriders isn't quite as live-service focused as the likes of Destiny 2, even though it shares some similarities, there's always a chance that it goes free to play in the future to bring in more players.
The developers haven't commented on that potential at all, but we'll be sure to let you know if they do.
For now, you can either buy Outriders at full price or pay a smaller fee to play it with Xbox Game Pass.
