Out of the Park Baseball 23 is 'a love letter' to fans, release date announced

Out of the Park Baseball 23 will be the next installment in this critically acclaimed sports strategy franchise, and we're finally learning what they have in store this year.

With the release date now confirmed, we've got all the known and confirmed details as fans look ahead to the launch of OOTP 23.

Out of the Park Baseball 23 Release Date & Pre Order

Following up on the success of OOTP 22, Out of the Park Baseball 23 will arrive a bit later in the year than its predecessor.

Last year they aimed for a late March release, but this year the official OOTP 23 release date is April 22, 2022, meaning fans have just one month before it will be available.

If you want to go ahead and place a pre order to reserve your copy of Out of the Park Baseball 23, it is already available to pre order via the OOTP Developments website at this link.

The game will be released on PC, Linux, and Mac, and players should soon be able to wishlist OOTP 23 on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.

While OOTP 23 will be available for a base price of $39.99, players who choose to pre order or wishlist the game can receive a 10% discount to snag it for just $35.99.

Out of the Park Baseball 23 will carry the franchise another step forward this year with new 3D visuals, all-new layers of customization options, and additional in-game tutorials that should appeal to rookies and OOTP veterans.

Richard Grisham, Director of Business Development at developer Com2uS, stated that "OOTP 23 is a love letter to all baseball fans," and that they hope to "evolve and build on the legacy of OOTP's unrivaled authentic baseball management experience."

Grisham went on to explain that they aimed to make OOTP 23 "the most welcoming entry point in the series yet," meaning this could be the perfect year for new players to give the series a shot.

We also learned today that Com2uS has renewed their licensing agreement with the MLB and MLB Players, Inc. for another five year term with more MLB experiences across PC and mobile platforms currently planned.

Jamie Leece, MLB Senior Vice President of Video Games & VR, and Evan Kaplan, Managing Director of MLB Players, Inc., both spoke about their excitement to see fans take full control of their baseball destiny in OOTP 23 and for the future of MLB games from Com2uS.
