
Nintendo's long-awaited sequel to Wii Sports, Nintendo Switch Sports, has finally arrived!
Similar to its progenitor, Nintendo Switch Sports will take sports into the video game realm, giving fans, friends of fans, and families of fans an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Release Date
Nintendo Switch Sports was released on April 29th, 2022.
Nintendo previously held an online playtest from Friday, 18 February through Sunday, 20 February which was exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members.

The Nintendo Switch Sports official announcement trailer was released on Nintendo's YouTube channel on Wednesday, 9 February.

The trailer showcases the fun that can be had whilst playing Nintendo Switch Sports but also gives us a taste of the controls.
The classic games like Tennis and Bowling will be played the exact same way as the previous title, but you'll need to get to grips with the controls for some of the new sports such as Chambara.
Once Soccer is introduced after the first free update, you'll be able to attach a JoyCon controller to a leg strap accessory so that you can play shoutout mode with intuitive kicking motions.
Price
The price for Nintendo Switch Sports is set at £39.99 / $39.99 on Amazon.
You can also buy the game direct from the Nintendo eShop for £30.99 provided you sign in with your Nintendo account.
What Sports are there in Nintendo Switch Sports?
Nintendo Switch Sports will include six different sports at launch, with more to follow once the game is updated.
These six original sports are:
- Tennis
- Bowling
- Chambara
- Soccer
- Badminton
- Volleyball

The veteran players among you will recognise some sports like tennis and bowling from previous titles.
However, the new game features some fresh sports like volleyball, soccer and badminton for the first time.
There will also be two updates coming to the game later this year, adding more features to enjoy.
The first free update will add the support to play soccer with the new leg attachment.
The second update will add golf to the lineup, taking Nintendo Switch Sports to a total of seven different sports.
Will Nintendo Switch Sports feature Multiplayer?
Nintendo Switch Sports will offer local and online multiplayer options.
This means players can enjoy a quiet evening with family or friends in person, or take things online to battle it out with others.
