Here's a look at all the fighters expected to arrive during Multiversus Season 1.
What Fighters Will be Added In Multiversus Season 1?
As we prepare for the full launch of Multiversus Season 1 on Monday, 15th August 2022, Game Director Tony Huynh has made a hint that we could start seeing looks at some of the upcoming roster additions in the loading screens of the new season.
All of the roster additions will be made throughout the first season, so here are all the characters we currently know about both officially and rumoured, when they'll be added and what we can expect from them.
Rick and Morty
Unlike Tom & Jerry who are already in the game, Rick and Morty will be two separate fighters introduced at different times during Multiversus Season 1.
The first of these two fighters to be introduced is Morty who is set to be added to the game on Tuesday, 23rd August 2022. Morty is set to be labelled as an "expert", suggesting a steep learning curve for the character. We also know that Morty will be a bruiser-style fighter according to the official Multiversus roster page.
Rick currently doesn't have a date attached to him other than "During Multiversus Season 1" but we do still have some info on the upcoming character, specifically his class, being the third ranged-focus mage build added to the game alongside Tom & Jerry and Bugs Bunny.
Black Adam and Stripe
Two surprise announcements for the Multiversus Season 1 Roster came in the form of Stripe from the movie Gremlins and Black Adam from the DC universe.
There is very little information regarding the two characters as of writing, with no class or release date announced for either though it's safe to assume that Black Adam will be towards the end of the season to be closer to the release date of the movie.
Gandalf and Legolas (Rumour)
A tweet from Game Director Tony Huynh asking fans about whether or not they like bows and arrows has led to speculation online about whether or not this is a hint to another new character.
While there are two major options with DC's Green Arrow also being a possible addition, Legolas seems the most likely for a couple of reasons.
The biggest reason why many fans are speculating about the introduction of Legolas is the upcoming Lord of The Rings: Rings of Power TV series from Amazon. Adding relevant characters to Multiversus seems like an obvious step to take.
Legolas would also fit with the long-rumoured character of Gandalf, who has been referenced in the game files since the beginning of Multversus, even being rumoured as a character long before the game's release.
