Marvel's Spider-Man 2 promises to be one of the most exciting releases of 2023, with Insomniac Games returning for another hit with the web-slinger.
With some minor details emerging, attention has started to turn to the cast and characters that will feature in SM2.

Spider-Man 2 Confirmed Characters
Insomniac Games hit a home run with their first iteration of Spider-Man in 2018 and Spider-Man 2 looks to be a game that will offer all of that and more.
One such addition set to be made is continuous growth for the roster of characters, with more heroes - and villains - set to enter the fray.
Peter Parker
Our protagonist from Spider-Man (2018), Peter Parker will once again return in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Whilst we aren't sure of the timeline of this new game, Peter's life will likely be a lot different, with his relationship with MJ blossoming and his life likely balanced between running F.E.A.S.T, working and of course being a crime-fighting superhero.
Peter's arc in this game will likely resolve around the symbiotic beast that confronts him, but either way you can be sure that Parker will be back with his usual quips and jibes in Spider-Man 2
Miles Morales
Through different mediums, Miles Morales is one of the most talked about heroes today, and when you look at his characters it's easy to see why.
A cool and collected young man who takes responsibility and helps those in need, Miles is the purest definition of the 'every man'.
That being said, we're yet to see how his arch in his own game will effect Miles, with the possibility of seeing a more composed, stronger and more curious Mr. Morales.
Venom
Confirmed in the reveal trailer and sending fans into a frenzy, the symbiotic beast in the form of Venom will appear in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
In the comics, Venom is a symbiote who finds a unique connection with Peter Parker's Spider-Man, binding himself to the hero and sending our protagonist crazy.
The infamous black suit is almost certainly set to feature in this game and Venom's effect on our Spidey could be catastrophic.
Kraven the Hunter
The main narrator featured in the reveal trailer, Kraven the Hunter is a character with an intriguing background story.
Quite literally a hunter from a far-off land, Kraven is a man hell-bent on securing the greatest prizes for his collection.
Sure to be interested in Venom in this game, we are unsure of Kraven's role, but his character's greatest story is closely linked with the black suit and we could see Insomniac Games adapt the iconic comic-book storyline of 'Kraven's Last Hunt'

Lizard
Another of Spider-Man's famous adversaries, Lizard is confirmed to feature heavily in Spider-Man 2 and could play a bigger role than first thought.
In the gameplay demo, Lizard is shown tormenting the city but very much being protected by Spider-Man.
With Kraven looking to slay the beast, Lizard could be an important character in the first act who ties all story arcs together.
Either way, Curt Connors will be strutting his scales in SM2 and we can't wait to see him in action.
