Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a certified hit. It was everything fans wanted out of a Star Wars game and offered us another insight into the fantastic universe being created.
Now, Jedi Fallen Order is getting a free next-gen update on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It was announced a little while ago, but this is what we know now...
LATEST - Official List Of Upgrades
As you might expect, it's a pretty standard array of improvements. Jedi Fallen Order on the PS5 is going to feature the following improvements:
- Higher Resolution Textures & Assets
- 4K/HDR Resolution
- Improved 60 FPS Performance
- Significantly Faster Loading Times
There's also going to be two graphics modes to choose from:
- Performance Mode (ON) - 1440p Resolution at 60 FPS
- Performance Mode (OFF) - 4K Resolution at 30 FPS
The Xbox Series S is capped at 1080p and 60FPS though.
Next-Gen Jedi Fallen Order Release Date
There were rumours for a couple of weeks that the next-gen version of Jedi Fallen Order would be available on June 11th and now it looks like that day has rolled around.

"More details soon" is soon to become "It's out now" because Jedi Fallen Order's next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrade is out right now!
People have started to see the new version of the game appear on both the PlayStation Store and on the Xbox Store via Smart Delivery. All you need to do is search for the title on either storefront and you should be able to find it.
This means, as you can imagine, that an official announcement and further information about what's coming is imminent. We're expecting to see things like "4K resolutions", and "60 frames per second"; Essentially, nothing out of the ordinary for a next-gen title.
In addition to this, we can imagine that the next-gen version of Jedi Fallen Order is going to feature significantly faster loading times. We'll keep you updated with any more information we get when it arrives.
