From a handful of visual novels to a brand new battle royale, all the way to a sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, it seems people want to see the franchise do well. Fresh off the back of an interesting narrative-driven RPG, Big Bad Wolf Studio seem up to the task to do the series justice. Is Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong Open World?

As of right now, we don't have an official confirmation of what the world structure is like. This being said, we have a pretty good guess based on trailers and Big Bad Wolf's previous game, The Council.

The Council, like Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong, is a narrative driven RPG where choices are the main focus. In the effort of doing this, The Council placed you in small explorable areas where you could question character and really discover what was going on.

It seems likely that Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong will follow the same formula - giving you access to small areas that must be explored slowly and methodically. Given the success of the Council, it seems likely this will be a bigger game but it seems unlikely that it will be entirely open world. The strong narrative focus may lose out to a much bigger area to explore.

Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong Release Date

Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong finally launches this month on May 19th. This leaves just a manner of weeks until you can play it for yourself.
