Is Naraka: Bladepoint free to play on release?

Naraka: Bladepoint is an impressive hack and slash battle royale game. Seemingly coming out of nowhere, it managed to rack up hundreds of thousands of players in months, making it one of the most played games on Steam. It has finally launched and there's now tonnes to do. This being said, price is always a barrier to entry and, with so many free battle royale games, what sets this apart?

Is Naraka: Bladepoint free to play?

Naraka: Bladepoint is not free to play on launch. This being said, it makes sense why players might think it was.

With tonnes of small betas and lots of time to test the game for free, players assumed the full release would be too, operating in a similar model to the likes of Splitgate. Not only this but tonnes of battle royales currently on the market are free so it's understandable why some might think this.

How much is it?

You can purchase the game for yourself right now for 19,99€ / $19.99 / £17.99.

This leaves the cost as fairly similar to the price of a modern indie game, not a bad price point.
