Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay and Release Date revealed in State of Play

In PlayStation's latest State of Play, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Software showcased gameplay, gave a release date, on Hogwarts Legacy. Additionally, developers of the game provided additional insight into what can be expected from the game.

Here's what we learned from the latest reveal stream, including the game's release date, and more!

Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay

Starting late at Hogwarts as a fifth-year, you will get placed into one of Hogwarts' houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin. They will get to meet their professors, cast magical spells, befriend new allies, journey across a landscape never seen before, uncover ancient secrets, and more.

Additionally, in-between classes, you will be able to explore the castle famous for its secrets and mysteries, giving new light to something never before seen.

The game will also include a Talent system, in which you can upgrade specific skills such as stealth or their ability to efficiently use abilities in the Room of Requirement.

This is all to work alongside Professor Fig, in finding information on a possible goblin rebellion. Because as a student who holds the key to "an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart," only you will be able to decide what to make of your legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy Release Date

Hogwarts Legacy is set to release during the Holidays in 2022.

The open-world action RPG that comes from the world created by the Harry Potter books was originally planned to release in 2021 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, and PC but Warner delayed the game's release to 2022.
