With the first month of 2023 now over, it's time to assess which French Ligue 1 star could win the January POTM award in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
EA has released a shortlist of three players who are nominated for the Player of the Month award, and you can have your say by voting for your winner.
Take a look below at which players have been nominated for the award, with one set to gain an upgraded card via SBC in FUT 23!
January POTM Nominees
The official list of Player of the Month nominees for Ligue 1 has been announced, with three players in contention for the award.
The nominees are as follows:
- Wissam Ben Yedder
- Przemyslaw Frankowski
- Alexis Sanchez

Wissam Ben Yedder
France international striker Wissam Ben Yedder is one of the leading contenders having scored four goals in three appearances in January.
AS Monaco did go unbeaten throughout the month, however only managed to win one match, which could hamper Ben Yedder's chances.
Przemyslaw Frankowski
Despite having a card listed as a LWB, Przemyslaw Frankowski has been playing as a very effective RM for Lens, who are one of three sides that look capable of chasing down PSG at the top of Ligue 1.
The side went unbeaten in January, getting two wins and two draws, with the Pole scoring in each of the victories.
That included a goal against PSG in a 3-1 win and the all-important only goal of the game against Auxerre.
Alexis Sanchez
Marseille was another side that went unbeaten in the month, winning three of the four matches.
Alexis Sanchez popped up with a couple of goals, with his equaliser against Monaco vital in securing a point.
November/December POTM SBC
Paris Saint-Germain and France superstar Kylian Mbappe won the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award for November/December.
Mbappe earned himself an insane 92 OVR POTM item that is priced at roughly 1.8 million coins on the PS and Xbox market.
The SBC is still live and expires on Sunday, 26 February, so there is plenty of time to complete the challenge.
