FIFA 23 is set to be the most successful launch in EA Sports' history, which is no mean feat given the criticism the game has faced.

Despite a rocky start and some major errors, EA has still managed to rise to the top.

It hasn't always been easy for FIFA 23, but the continued hysteria and rising football fandom have still seen this year's game rise to the top.

As pointed out by FIFAWitcher on Twitter, in a statement released by EA, they confirmed that FIFA 23 is "pacing to be the biggest title in franchise history", with record-breaking numbers permitting FIFA 23 to rise to the top.

Not only that, FIFA Mobile and FIFA Online are also rising, with the latter acquiring its biggest monthly active user base in Asia.

All of these elements of FIFA are certainly gelling together, with the last instalment in the franchise set to also be one of, if not the, very best.

Ultimately, it's the amount of money that comes in that will be the ultimate test of success for EA, and FIFA 23 is certainly proving positive in that regard.

Not just financial, more and more players are switching on their consoles to play FIFA 23, with the omens looking good for EA heading into the future.

Together Again?

This rise in popularity has raised a few questions as to whether EA and FIFA could get back together, following their public split in 2022.

FIFA 23, whilst being a major success, will also be the final instalment in the series as we know it, with EA Sports FC taking its place.

FIFA are yet to find a new developer, so could they kiss and make up with EA?

This seems unlikely, for now at least, but don't ever rule out these two long time lovebirds coming back together to once again dominate the football gaming landscape.
