After the international break, it is crucial to ensure your players are fit and ready to play on EPL Fantasy Football!

Check out our Gameweek 5 tips below.

RealSport101 Fantasy Premier League!

Before we start, for those of you who are thinking about playing this year, why not join the RealSport101 Fantasy Premier League?

There will be plenty to play for throughout the course of the FPL season, with the overall winner taking home a copy of FIFA 22 on the platform of their choosing.

The code to join the league is “4mqenx“.

Goalkeepers

Firstly, make sure you have a replacement for Alisson! It looks like the Brazilian will be out for another month or so, and he can free up some money to spend elsewhere.

Star Signing – Hugo Lloris (£5.5m)

With the Manchester clubs looking shaky, Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris looks like the best replacement for Alisson in goal.

With games against West Ham, Burnley and Brighton next up, Lloris could be the perfect man to bag you some points over the coming weeks.

Alternative Option: Vicente Guaita (£5m)

Bargain Buy – Emiliano Martinez (£4.7m)

Who would have thought Aston Villa would have the best defensive record in the Premier League so far?

In what has been a ridiculously high-scoring season, Villa have conceded just twice (both in a 7-2 win over Liverpool). Games against Leicester and Leeds could be tricky though!

Alternative Option: Lukasz Fabianski (£5m)

Defenders

With clean sheets at a premium this season, bringing in defenders who have an impact at the other end is vital!

Star Signing – Sergio Reguilon (£5.5m)

It may be a theme his week, but Spurs players are the order of the day with a favourable run of fixtures.

Spanish left back Sergio Reguilon has looked sharp so far and good be about to bag a load of points.

Alternative Option: Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5m)

Bargain Buy – Aaron Cresswell (£4.9m)

David Moyes looks to have solidified a once porous West Ham defence, with the East London club boasting the second-best defensive record in the league.

From left centre back, Aaron Cresswell provided two assists against Leicester and could continue to pick up points as a free-kick specialist. The Irons run of fixtures may put you off though!

Alternative Option: Ezri Konsa (£4.6m)

Midfielders

There are some big hitters classed as midfielders this year, so picking the right ones can help you out massively!

Star Signing – Heung-Min Son (£9.1m)

Yet another Spurs player! This is a big one though as the Korean star is the most in form midfielder available and has a favourable run of games!

Not only that, Son is also considerably cheaper than the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Kevin De Bruyne.

Alternative Option: Bruno Fernandes (£10.5m)

Bargain Buy – Helder Costa (£5.7m)

Picking up points from your cheaper players can be the difference, so Leeds winger Helder Costa is one to keep an eye on.

The arrival of Raphinha could limit his game time though, so it may be a quick fix for the next few games.

Alternative Option: Jarrod Bowen (£6.3m)

Forwards

A star striker can be the difference between a good and a great points haul, but they are expensive too! With so many great midfielders this year, some cheaper alternatives have come to the fore.

Star Signing – Harry Kane (£10.6m)

No, I am not a Spurs fan. However, Harry Kane completes the line-up of Spurs players to bring.

Kane is providing goals and assists for fun at the moment, and we fully expect that to continue against West Ham, Burnley and Brighton.

Alternative Option: Raul Jimenez (£8.6m)

Bargain Buy: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.6m)

Maybe not quite a bargain, but Everton and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are on fire right now.

The Merseyside derby is up next, but after that there are games against Southampton and Newcastle where DCL could pick up some serious points.

Alternative Option: Patrick Bamford (£5.8m)
