Evil Dead: The Game Release Date
After suffering a second delay, Evil Dead: The Game is now set to release on 13 May 2022. It's great to finally have a solid date to look towards. Right up until this latest delay, we were still looking at just a 'February 2022' window.
The game did resurface during Summer Games Fest - another Geoff Keighley creation - showing off its gameplay and it did a great job of building up the hype.
Is Bruce Campbell in The Evil Dead Game?
Yes! Bruce Campbell will be reprising his role as the iconic Ash Williams in Evil Dead: The Game. There will be four different versions of the character available and Campbell will provide the voice for all four.
Evil Dead: The Game - Gameplay
As we have already mentioned, a gameplay video was shown during the Summer Game Fest show in August 2021. While it was initially believed to be another Dead by Daylight clone, this appears to be far from the truth.
Instead, it will be more of a cooperative survival/shooter much closer to the likes of Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood. Characters from the entire Evil Dead franchise will return as playable characters.
There will be a multiplayer mode that will see one player take on the role of the demons through the power of possession. It's the job of the good guys to progress through the level and expel the demon presence in order to save the world.
