Death Stranding Director's Cut is coming out sooner than you think and - thanks to Gamescom 2021's Opening Night Live - we've got a brand new trailer that showcases all of the new features that are coming exclusively to the PS5 version of the game. Here's the low-down...
PREVIEW TRAILER - There's a lot of new content coming
Death Stranding's Director's Cut release is packed with new content - on top of everything else that was already shipped with Death Stranding. It practically looks like a new game!
There's going to be new Delivery Support mechanics - including what appears to be jet-boots and a Cargo Catapult. The Buddy Bot is also going to be joining Death Stranding - He's there to help you carry more cargo safely and securely. Jump Ramps have also been added alongside Race Tracks - It's time to make the most of Death Stranding's vehicles!
Death Stranding Director's Cut is also going to introduce new facilities, Private Room Boss Battle replays, new music tracks, and a new set of missions that feature action-packed deliveries.
You can check out almost nine minutes of new footage - running through everything you need to know about - below:
When does Death Stranding Director's Cut drop?
Death Stranding Director's Cut is due to be delivered - see what we did there? - on September 24th on PS5. It's going to be the definitive way to play Death Stranding and you're not going to want to miss it.
If you own the game on PS4 already, there's going to be a small fee to upgrade it to the Director's Cut version - in a similar fashion to how Ghost of Tsushima's Director's Cut was handled - but it'll be worth it.
We don't know if all of this new content is going to over-saturate an already well-made game, but we'll find out soon enough. You have to imagine, though, that we really don't need "jet boots" for Sam Porter Bridges...
