Unfortunately for fans of EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, we might be without the game for quite some time. A recent tweet from the EA SPORTS PGA TOUR account revealed this news today.

While we await another announcement detailing what's to come, let's go over the tweet itself and when the release date could potentially land.

LATEST NEWS - EA SPORTS PGA TOUR DELAYED

It's unfortunate news for EA SPORTS PGA TOUR fans that the game will be delayed for a while. However, it also means that EA is taking more time to make sure the game is nearly perfect.

They haven't announced what exactly is causing the delay, but we could imagine it has something to do with the release date not lining up with when the game will be ready for launch.

EA's official statement can be seen above and it seems as if we won't know the status of PGA TOUR for at least a few months.

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR: Potential Release Date

Now that it's been delayed, the official release date for EA SPORTS PGA TOUR is unknown as of this moment.

We do know that the original plan was for it to be released in the Spring of 2022. We aren't sure if the game will be pushed into the Fall, but we expect that late-Spring is the next potential release date.

Expected Courses and Tournaments

Up until today, the last information we received was surrounding the Courses and Tournaments that were coming to PGA TOUR.

We were quite excited to see the additions and now that the game is delayed, we wonder if some of these courses won't make the cut.

Here are all of the Courses and Tournaments that we know of so far:

  • The Masters Tournament at Augusta National (April)
  • PGA Championship (Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, South Carolina in May 2021)
  • US Open (Torrey Pines in San Diego, California in June 2021)
  • The Open Championship (Royal St George's in Sandwich, England in July 2021)
  • The Players Championship at Sawgrass, Florida
  • The FedEx Cup Playoffs (The Northern Trust, BMW Championship, and Tour Championship)
  • Pebble Beach Golf Links

Hopefully, we'll know soon whether or not all of these Tournaments will be available when the game finally releases.
