Disney Dreamlight Valley has created a genuine contender for Animal Crossing with its cosy gameplay and calm atmosphere. One early task, however, is stressing players out and it involves cooking ratatouille!
Early on in the game, you can opt to visit and recruit Remy to your village. To do so, you'll need to pass his cooking challenge, the final task he sets is to make ratatouille without any instructions. So, here's how you do it!

How to make ratatouille in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Remy's signature dish, ratatouille is a vegetarian delight but he doesn't tell you how to make it in the game! Luckily, we've figured it out for you. You need to grab the following items to produce a stunning 5-star ratatouille;
- Tomato
- Aubergine/Eggplant
- Zucchini/Courgette
- Onion
- A herb (Basil or Oregano)
Throw these into Remy's cooking pot and you'll produce exactly what he's after!
The herb you choose doesn't matter, it should produce a 5-star result regardless. For clarity, as you can see in the image, we used oregano.
How to bring Remy to your village
Getting Remy to join your village and start up his legendary Chez Remy restaurant is quite simple. Once you've completed all of his cooking tasks, you'll chat to him about coming to the village with you.
He asks in return that you find him somewhere to live. This means you can head back to your village and place his house wherever you see fit. Then comes the not-so-fun part.
To build his house, you'll need to pay Scrooge McDuck 2,000 Star Coins. The build will be completed straight away and Remy will join your village and a new questline will be available. Once his house is built, it's time to fix up and furnish his restaurant which will require another 2,000 Star Coins.
If you're struggling for Coins, make sure you do plenty of fishing and mining for gems as this is the easiest way to make extra income!
