While Darksiders 3 was only released in 2018, fans are looking towards the next game in hopes of an announcement soon.

LATEST - No Darksiders during THQ Event

Darksiders, along with other popular franchises like TimeSplitters, were no-shows during the THQ Nordic Showcase. Its diappointing for fans fo the franchise but likely points to the game not being ready to show more than it's lack of existence.

The Darksiders story feels far from over and it's only a matter of time before a new game surfaces.

Darksiders 4 reveal due soon?

A new Darksiders game may be revealed at the THQ Nordic live stream later today. Whether or not it's the fourth mainline game or another spin-off remains to be seen. Genesis was received well as its product but fans were left asking when 4 would be revealed.

THQ Nordic has promised six new game announcements during their live stream. One of these may have already leaked in the form of Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed. This isn't a surprise after the sleeper hit that the Destroy All Humans remaster was.

Beyond this, games like Timesplitters are rumored to show but very little else is known. After six years between Darksiders 2 and 3, fans will not want to wait this long for another game.

Who would develop Darksiders 4?

A new Darksiders game would likely be developed by Gunfire Games. They were acquired by THQ Nordic in 2019 after finishing up Remnant: From the Ashes for Perfect World Entertainment.

Gunfire also provided the remaster for the second game and also lead development on 3. They have no other known projects lined up. They did recently posted that they are hiring and used a very teasing image to promote this.

In a blog post from August, when Darksiders 3 was available on Games with Gold, they very much advertised this and the franchise as a whole, hinting that they are still tied to it in some way.

While no major hints or teases have been dropped, it just feels right that if THQ Nordic is showcasing some exciting projects, Darksiders has to be part of that.
