Sources close to RealSport have confirmed that both Rene “cajunb” Borg and Jakob “JUGi” Hansen have both been benched by OpTic Gaming amid a report by Jarek “DeKay” Lewis that Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen and Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen are joining from the now defunct Rogue roster. Despite this, as of now the ex-Rogue lineup will be headed to Shanghai for StarLadder Season 7 finals as their last event together. The ECS spot they claimed unexpectedly is now up in the air as the roster and org will be unable to claim the spot.

While Rogue have seen some success with the recent addition of niko, OpTic cannot say the same after having an underwhelming appearance at WESG. While OpTic Gaming has had niko on the team before, this will be the first time that MSL will be making an appearance in the OpTic colors.

It is unclear if those are the only two changes OpTic will be making. There was also a report from RushBMedia that Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer was set to be cut. Cajunb has been with OpTic for over a year after originally joining OpTic from North’s bench in February of 2018. Jugi joined just a few months later from Heroic with Snappi after the failed mixed Danish and NA OpTic lineup.

Rumored lineup of four:

Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen

Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen

 Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke

Ismail “refrezh” Ali

Casper “Ruggah” Due (Coach)
