You'll be happy to hear that you can actually preload Biomutant now on Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
Preload went live on May 23, so even if you pre-order the game between then and May 25, the game will download immediately to unlock on launch day.
Biomutant Release Times
In terms of when Biomutant will unlock on launch day, we've got the times listed below. Unlike many new games, it isn't as simple as just midnight local time on all systems.
The times below were confirmed by THQ Nordic's official website.
- PlayStation: 10am ET / 3pm BST on May 25
- Xbox: 10am ET / 3pm BST on May 25
- Steam: 1pm ET / 6pm BST on May 25
- Epic Games: 1pm ET / 6pm BST on May 25
- GOG.com: 1pm ET / 6pm BST on May 25
If you've preloaded the game, it will unlock at that time, letting you jump into the action.
If you don't preload the game, you'll have to download it first before being able to start your adventure.
File Download Size
While we don't know the official sizes yet, THQ has said that you'll need around 25GB of free space to install Biomutant.
Also, PlayStation Game Size on Twitter has suggested that the PS4 version will be 21.5GB at launch, before any additional patches.
We'll confirm the figure on other systems once we know them, so check back with us soon.
