We're big fans of a good Battlefield game, and the scope of Battlefield 6 has us itching to get our hands on it.
New reports from a trusted leaker have revealed some more plans for the game, including the match size.
So, let's take a look at these leaks now and how Battlefield 6 is shaping up!
Larger than life maps
Firstly, the maps are shaping up, still, to be suitable for 128 player matches. These would be immense games with teams of 64 people in a true all-out war setting.
The size of these battles limits the scope of the release of the game somewhat, however.
It is unlikely for last-gen hardware to cope well with battles of such a size. As such, it is likely that these 128 player maps will be aimed at owners of next-gen hardware.
Despite this lack of expanded content on last-gen, Tom Henderson (the leaker behind this information), says players shouldn't be worried.
Battlefield 6 will still target 64 player maps on last-gen, and has the entirety of its own team working on a last-gen version.
As such, players who are looking to buy the game on PS4 or Xbox One should not be worried, as the game will still be an absolute treat to play.
Battlefield battle royale
The next major reveal from these leaks is the possibility of a battle royale game mode in Battlefield 6.
Whilst Henderson's sources are no longer certain as to whether or not this mode is still in the works, the success of Warzone may push EA to move forward with it.
This, coupled with the possible scope of 128 player maps, leads us to think that we will likely see one in Battlefield 6!
EA have penciled in Battlefield 6 as a "true next-gen vision for the franchise", so no doubt this will be a title that truly blows us away.
